This restaurant is cute and quiet in the West Village. The food was pretty good. My friend ordered the hanger steak. I wish the fries that came with were warmer and bigger. I got the pork chop, which was a little tough, but otherwise great. I liked the rice that accompanied it. The chicken special was probably the best. All of the meals had a little spice kick to it, which I really liked. The wine bottles are priced reasonably. I thought the service was a little slow in general (getting check) and if getting a bottle of wine, prefer that the waiter come by and refill our glasses.
Definitely worth trying out. -

Llamita is a mini version of llama-inn in Manhattan. I eat exceptionally well. The lomo saltado was really great, definitely would recommend.
All plates were really good except for the desert which was really nicely prepared but had a wired taste, it was a sweet plate with a lot of salt.
Overall pretty impressed!
One thing to note they only have wine because of their liquor license -

Had a great time here yesterday. The space is fairly small but wasn't overcrowded for dinner on a Wednesday. Our extremely friendly waiter was attentive and took the time to explain the menu and help us choose a good bottle of wine. We got to taste a couple to see what we enjoyed most.
Per his recommendation, we went with the traditional striped bass ceviche (which they are known for), the pork chops as well as the hanger steak.
My friend and I are both spicy food fanatics so the waiter brought over a side of this creamy jalapeño sauce which really gave me the hot sauce fix I needed.
Overall, the food and vibes were great! It seems like this place is more popular for brunch but I thoroughly enjoyed dinner. Check it out! -

Out of this world pork chop. My boyfriend could not stop talking about how much he needed the recipe..
Llamita seems to be more under the radar for dinner considering how it was almost half empty on a Friday night, which makes sense if it only recently made the transition from a lunch sandwich type of place. Love the decor (those ceilings!) and terrific location in the West Village. We had the jamon cheese bread, bass ceviche, hangar steak and pork chop. Everything was excellent in terms of flavor and cook. The wine by glass is also very reasonable. On the whole, lovely restaurant and a pleasant surprise given that we were not as familiar with Peruvian cuisine.
